Sydney Film Festival closed last night, and I was thrilled to have been Highly Commended in the Dendy Awards for Australian Short Films for TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW!
Thanks to all the staff and volunteers at the festival for putting on such a spectacular program, and to everyone who came out to watch our world premiere. It was pretty special.

I'm absolutely over the moon to share that TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW will have its world premiere at Sydney Film Festival, as one of just 10 finalists in the Dendy Awards for Australian Short Films!
Also premiering in the Dendy Awards is A BIRTHDAY PARTY, written and directed by my VCA mate, W.A.M. Bleakley, and produced by Lucy Knox and me. What a year!

I'm very excited to be one of 20 filmmakers shortlisted from more than 280 submissions for the 2017 Lexus Australia Short Film Fellowship, in association with Sydney Film Festival.
The Fellowship is the largest cash fellowship for short film in Australia, with up to four Fellowship winners receiving $50,000 each to produce their next short film in 2017, to premiere at the 65th Sydney Film Festival in 2018.
An industry panel, led by Australian actor David Wenham, will assess each finalist’s proposed short film project with the four successful fellows to be announced at Sydney Film Festival in June 2017.
MEAT had its German premiere in September as an official selection of Down Under Berlin Film Festival.
On 22 October I'll be heading to Byron Bay where MEAT is an official selection of Byron Bay Film Festival and nominated for the Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year award.
Then in November MEAT has its USA premiere at the Citizen Jane Film Festival in Columbia, Missouri, where it's screening in the Emerging Voices program: "This collection of 10 short films shows off the early works of emerging filmmakers with serious talent. From comedy to drama these films represent women with strong new voices in independent filmmaking."

Guess who's going to Italy? Not us... but MEAT is!
We're very happy to be an Official Selection of the River Film Festival in Padua, Italy.
The festival runs from 28 May – 10 June and is (quite literally) on the river! Films are projected onto a screen that sits on a raft moored in the middle of the 16th century fluvial port used for trade between Padua and Venice at the city gate of Porta Portello.
